    Hello Ruben,
    It seems like you are just about into the “home stretch” of a long, adventuresome and unforgettable journey. Your near-daily writings have been fascinating to read. I have tried a few times to post messages on your blog but they seem to “vanish” the moment I click ‘send’. (Correct ! , my computer skills have not improved !!!) Then again, IF they have reached you, then you will find this note doubly boring !!! I had been following your ‘trek’ via Edumail and I was ‘firing off’ the odd (?) reply but I resigned from school on the 09/09/09 (just so I would never forget the date!!) and OMG, I was evicted from Edumail on 11/09/09 !! (“they” move quickly when “they” want to) Not to worry ……. Just type “Ruben and Ray walk the Camino” in Google and voila !
    I suggested in previous messages that you should write a book after this. Your writing style is very engaging and paints a perfect picture of where you are and what you are doing. Speaking of which, I’m beginning to wonder if the number of beers you have consumed along the way outnumbers the number of kilometres you’ve covered (or vice-versa). As for your “bed swapping, shower sharing activities” !!! pfft ! – why no pictures of “those activities” ????? ………… or do you boys have a ‘private collection’ ????????!!!!!!!!! AND AND AND, how on earth do you know so much about the places you stop at ?? Are you guys infinitely more intelligent and knowledgeable than I have EVER given you credit for ???? or are you “copy and pasting” from a travel brochure ???!!!!!!!!! (Ah ha !! the intrepid trekkers are actually motor bike riding tourists !!!!!!!!!!!!) Sore feet? Blisters? Crook knees? Aching muscles???? ……pfft !!!
    Well Ruben, make sure you have a dozen celebratory beers for me when you reach your destination BUT don’t race through those last couple of k’s because remember …………… every step closer to the finish is a step closer to Hume Central Sec. College ……. and work !!!!!!!
