Greetings from Boadilla - Tuesdat 8th

Well we´re over half way! The Camino of Death goes well. The locals all say the weather is unusually hot, we tell them we´re aussies and find this cool!! The idea is to start off early before the relentless sun is directly overhea, as there is no shade (it really is hot!). Physically we are getting stronger each day, Ray´s knee and blisters are much better (shame he twisted his ankle when he tripped over his boots going downhill!)., and mentally we are also doing well though the final couple of km can still be tough going (let´s admit it the camino is gruelling!!). Today we walked about 30km to a lovely albergue in Boadilla with an inground pool- the definition of happiness is a cold pool after a hot 30km walk (and a cold beer). The albergue is cool, well grassed with tables and chairs, bar and restaurant. The Irish couple made it in and a few other regulars (Madrillenas 1 and 2 and the Canadians). We passed Italian with a moustache aka Senor Spaghetti this morning, he was hobbling along with tendonitis of the ankle but still laughing (we´re a tough breed).
In two days we hope to reach Sahagun and Leon the day after (that´s about two thirds of the way)
